Feature 1 comprised a group of limestone and sandstone chips located in soil of a slightly different colour, first uncovered in 3:1 near the centre of the unit. Ceramics, charcoal (cat. 114) and stone fragments in the area of Feature 1. In the same area the top of a human skull was exposed. The skull was located under an unusual limestone block with a perforation in it. The face of the skull appeared to face the perforation in the limestone block. This feature, as it contained human remains, was renamed Burial 5. There was other limestone present in the feature as well. Atop the triangular limestone slab were found another block of limestone and a block of sandstone. Further to the southeast another limestone block was found.
